Mio Yamato: “I think what I’m trying to comprehend, through constant repetition and simply, intently continuing to draw the same pattern, is the process of how material and form, over time, steadily move forward and change. In the creative process, the continuity of points eventually loses order, and lines before long greatly meander. In the end the image that rises to the top is a projection of the experiences of solitary human being called “me”, and perhaps it is a record of the phenomenon called living.”
