“Sweet Tooth of the Tiger: Suck-it!”

A collaboration between Sweet Tooth of the Tiger, a traveling participatory art project, and Tara Strickstein, a contemporary artist and pastry chef, "Suck-it!" will highlight the performative nature of food exchange. Group members will be giving out specially-made candies and treats on the VOLTA NY floor on Thursday 5th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th. Along with experimental chef and designer, Adam Danforth, the team explores imaginative flavor pairings combined with a unique sense of social ritual based in art theory and reflecting their individual studio practices.

Sweet Tooth of the Tiger, organized by Tracy Candido, utilizes the public sphere as a place for eating, feeding, and talking with your mouth full. Through ingesting the sweets offered at these events, participants experience a heightened mood and pleasurable disposition. The "sugar high" engages active dialog, allowing a broadened or enlightened perspective.
