The last thing I want to do is to challenge taste. Mine are always changing and I include a wide variety of style, decoration, concept and composition in my work. I never know what the paintings will look like when I start them. The work creates it’s own history with each layer. I make something everyday until I have a collection of images and objects. Those are then used to make an actualized work. Sometimes that method is fast but is more often slow. I am endlessly adding things or taking them away and there is a good amount of anxiety in this process. That honesty is something I want to be accessible to the viewer.
