Born 1977 in Bergamo, Italy
Meris Angioletti was born in Bergamo in 1977. She lives between Paris and Milan. She has received a degree in Philosophy, and then she has studied at Fine Art Academy. Her research has focused on exploring the blurred area between art and science, and in particular on the possibilities and limits of investigating landscape and space with an approach in which scientific method and creative process become indistinct.
Solo shows include: I describe the way and meanwhile I am proceeding along it at Fondazione Galleria Civica, Centro di Ricerca sulla Contemporaneità di Trento curated by Andrea Viliani, Il paradigma indiziario, Careof, Milan curated by Chiara Agnello, Ginnastica Oculare, GAMeC – Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo, curated by Alessandro Rabottini. She has been one of the finalist of Premio Furla 2009.
She is the winner of New York Prize promoted by Ministero degli Esteri in collaboration with Italian Academy for Advanced Studies at the Columbia University.
