Anders Brinch works with both total abstraction as well as figurative elements in a surprisingly varied gathering of materials and approaches, ranging from oil on canvas to ready-made objects, plaster, plants, and sound. However, whether he works on the canvas or on a three dimensional installation, one should not see these as confined genres in a classical way, but rather as accumulations or mixtures wherein new combinations, expressions and shapes are born. His choice of topics derives from personal experiences that he fearlessly allows presence in his work in which levels from emotional pain to ecstatic joy can be traced. Anders Brinch took his MFA at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2001-2007).
