She received her MFA from the University of Illinois-Chicago and her BFA, New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, New York, New York.
Schiff has had solo exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Kavi Gupta Gallery in Chicago and Galerie Haus Schneider/Uschi Kolb in Karlsruhe, Germany.
This year she has been included in the 2008 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art and Sympathy for the Devil: Art and Rock and Roll Since 1967, curated by Dominic Molon, which originated at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and will travel to Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami and to the Musée d’art Contemporain de Montréal, Québec. Her photographs are also in the collections of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
