"Protest no longer suffices. We can drape old concepts with textured veneers. Arousing interest when it is lacking requires a very great nervous and mental tension; also, I must be convinced that I have a real duty to fulfill. So sometimes I tinker like a boy. Without fail, late ideas are necessary for projects to be accomplished. Today my work is melancholy. A world symmetrical to our own, beyond good and evil. It's amusing, usually, when something is said, humans are led to believe it."
